The Ellora Caves, dating back to 600-1000 AD, are an important cultural site encompassing Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain caves. Notable are Cave No. 10, a chaitya hall with a colossal Buddha statue, and the grand Kailasa Temple (Cave No. 16). The caves exhibit India's ancient technological and spiritual prowess and are best visited during the monsoon or winter.
