Peace and Quiet is probably the new luxury for the modern times. The overflowing stream of social media and Instagram reels have made it probably impossible for modern human being to have a peaceful and quiet time, a time solely dedicated to himself in the present times. The work pressure and the constant rings on mobile phone have created a ever panicking attitude among the working professionals.
During this time of Instagram reels and Whatsapp status updates there are very few places where one can go to spend a peaceful evening and hear the chirping of birds. One such place I have been to recently is Bhushi Dam. Located in Lonavala this dam was built in 1860 by the Great Indian Peninsular Railways to supply water for their steam engine operating on Pune Mumbai route. However with the change in technology, the steam locos have gone of use and so has been this place. There is a small watchtower built by the railways which stands testament to the glories of the bygone era.
My wife and I spent a quiet evening at this place recently and the experience here was something which can not be explained in Words. The peaceful evening with practically no human presence at all in the vicinity and chirping of birds was a sight to behold. The waves of the lake water were enough to hold your thoughts for a while and send in into a self reflection mode. We sat on the lakeside for a while, threw few stones into the lake and enjoyed a beautiful sunset as well. The changing colors sky during the sunset was mesmerizing and a sight to behold.

Evenings like these are truly the need of the modern living to help you understand yourself better and make you sit down for a while and reflect upon your life.
